John BradleyThe Racing Motorcycle V1- A Technical Guide for Constructors400 pages, ISBN 0951292927 A4 softback, Broadland Leisure Publications 1996 Not about a particular bike or engine or manufacturer but a very thoughtful book about getting your whole competition package right. Particular interest items include how to take air (for cooling or carburation) from an air stream with little or no drag, the myths of ram air induction, and understanding drag. Even with mundane topics such as Centre of Gravity or Suspension Damping John is able to give a detailed account and answer questions you didn't even think to ask. There are plenty of tables to help you with the calculations. Because of its thickness and soft flexibility, it is a book that needs to be cared for. Contents list
